Linda Plitnik

Linda Plitnik, 50, wife of Michael Plitnik of Birch Hill Road, Newtown, died at her home January 23. She was born in New York City August 1, 1949, daughter of the late Kustaa and Taimi (Heikkinen) Havinoja.

A resident of Newtown for 25 years, she had previously lived in Ridgefield and Redding. She graduated from Joel Barlow High School. She attended York College of Pennsylvania. For the past seven and a half years she has been employed as a bank teller at the New Milford Bank & Trust Co., Miry Brook Office in Danbury.

She is survived, besides her husband, by one daughter, Laura Plitnik of Newtown.

Funeral services were held January 25 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown with the Rev Gregory Wismar officiating. Cremation was at Mountain Grove Crematory.
