Caroline G.      Gellella

Caroline (Galgano) Gellella, 88, of Second Hill Road, New Milford, died June 21 at Candlewood Valley Health Center, New Milford. She was the wife of the late Leonard Joseph Gellella, Sr.

Mrs Gellella was born in New York City, April 25, 1914, daughter of the late Dominick and Josephine Galgano.

She is survived by two sons, Michael L. Gellella of Newtown and Dr Leonard J. Gellella, Jr, of New Milford; two brothers, Anthony Galgano of Seattle, Wash., and Alfred Galgano of Bethpage, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Nicole (Gellella) Birkett, Danielle Gellella, Kirsten Gellella, and Erik Gellella.

She was a communicant of St Francis Xavier Church, New Milford, and a member of the New Milford Senior Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place June 24 at St Francis Xavier Church, New Milford. Burial followed at Center Cemetery, New Milford.

The Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, was in charge of arrangements.
