Beautiful Pictures
Beautiful Pictures
To the Editor:
I wish to thank the many people of Newtown who put on the âTableaux Vivants: 300 Years of Newtown History in Living Picturesâ last Saturday night. They were wonderful! The talent and hard work that each person brought to the stage was very evident. Dan Crusonâs wonderful voice rang out into the auditorium as the characters created the most beautiful pictures.
It was clear that each actor worked hard to become the character that he/she was representing. The solider at attention, Mary Hawley sitting in her chair, the Indians with their new blankets, the Loyalists holding their muskets all stand out in my mind. In addition the âLibrary Ladiesâ were wonderful.
Thank you also for including all of the backstage workers in the curtain call. It was good to see all the people who had worked so hard.
A letter about the evening would not be complete without praise for the olios. Each dance group was better than the next. The children were beautiful in their ballet costumes and the women did a fantastic job with âMoney Makes the World Go Round.â The costumes on the mixed notes were so pretty. Horvath and Horvath were a stitch and Max added a wonderful touch.
Again, a big thank you to all of you.
