Webelos Forester Badge Program

DERBY — Webelos interested in acquiring the Forester Badge are invited to attend a special program designed just for them on Saturday, April 5, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Avenue, will provide activities and walks for Webelos that work toward their badge requirements.

Boys with their leaders or an adult will learn about the history of Connecticut Forests, the nutrient and water cycles in a forest structure as well as the basics to tree and plant identification. Foresters and education specialists will be on hand to help answer questions.

Registration is required; call 203-734-2513 between 9 am and 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. The fee for the program is $3 per scout to be collected the day of the program. The Kellogg Environmental Center is an educational facility of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection office of Communications and Education.
