At Candlewood Camera Club

The Candlewood Camera Club invites professional, beginner, and amateur photographers to their regular meetings beginning at 8 pm at the VFW Hall, 5 Byron Street, Danbury.

On Tuesday, November 23, Hank Meirowitz, noted photographer of animals, will speak on the subject of “Pet Photography.” A resident of New Milford and New York, Mr Meirowitsz’s credits include an award for a full page photo in Life magazine, solo showings in So-Ho, four windows of prints in Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, the Landmark Square building in Stamford, and many area libraries and museums. He is a member of the Housatonic Art League, Washington Art Association, Stamford Art Association and Camera Club, and Kent Art Association.

On Tuesday, December 14, regional judges will critique color, black and white prints, slides, and digital creations, at the club site during the usual monthly competition event. The special assigned subject will be “Insects.”
