Occupation: I’m now a stay-at-home mom. I previously worked out of my home doing sales support for Hyperion Solutions in Stamford. I received my bachelor’s degree in math and computer science at Western Connecticut State University.

How Long in Newtown: I have lived in Newtown for almost six years, since 1997. Prior to Newtown, I lived in Ridgefield. I grew up in Fairfield.

Biggest Change You Have Seen in Town: A lot of new development and higher taxes.

Family: My husband Steven and I have been married six years in May. We have two children, Caitlin, 3, and Steven, 8 months.

Hobbies: I had lots of hobbies before I had children. I love anything crafty, such as sewing and painting. I also love photography. I take a lot of pictures. I also love technology and computers. Before the children, my husband and I did scuba diving.

Favorite Books and Authors: I’m not a big reader, but I’m always reading children’s books. I can recite Dr Seuss.

Favorite TV Show: I don’t watch TV.

Organizations: I am a member of Newtown Newcomers and was previously the webmaster. I was a member of the St Rose women’s group and the new mom’s club.

Most Vivid Memory About Newtown: I have to say it was before we moved here. We had been looking for a house in Ridgefield when our realtor suggested we come to the Labor Day parade in Newtown. Seeing all the children and families and feeling the warmth of the town we knew this was where we wanted to raise our family.

Favorite Vacation Spot: The Caribbean, where my husband and I would go diving, but we haven’t been since the children.

Personal Philosophy: Live for today because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
