Group Exhibition At RGA

RIDGEFIELD — Ten award-winning artists will exhibit in the annual “Winners’ Circle” group show at Ridgefield Guild of Artists gallery from March 30 through April 19. The public is invited to an opening reception on Sunday, March 30, from 2 to 4 pm.

The artists were selected for awards by New York Times art critic William Zimmer, who was the juror of the Guild’s 25th Annual Juried Show last fall. In addition to cash prizes, winners of each year’s show are invited to participate in Winners Circle the following year.

The other artists in this year’s “Winners’ Circle” are Ann Bridgman (Ridgefield), Lynne Cheson (Tenafly, N.J.), Veronica Day (Morris), Susan Margolis (Ridgefield), Bart Mauceri, Jr (Ridgefield), Plonia Nixon (New Fairfield), Gian Ontaneda (Chicopee, Mass.), Bitty O’Sullivan Smith (Ridgefield) and Renee Santhouse (Wilton).

Mr Zimmer chose 105 art works from 450 submitted for entry into the juried show, by artists throughout the northeast region. On naming award winners, he noted that, “My job was easy; I could choose the best of the best.”

Ridgefield Guild of Artists is a non-profit organization of artists and art supporters, located on Halpin Lane off Prospect Ridge in downtown Ridgefield. Hours of operation for the guild exhibits and Gift Gallery are Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 5 pm. (Office hours are Thursday through Saturday, 1 to 5:30).
