April Break Programs At Devil’s Den

WESTON — Registration is open for parents who would like their children to participate in April Vacation Exploration Programs at Devil’s Den. This year’s session will run from Monday, April 14, to Thursday, April 17.

For ages 6 and up, Vacation Exploration programs will run from 1:30 to 3:30 pm and will focus on the various flora and fauna of The Den. Children may sign up for one session or all four.

On Monday, April 14, participants will study six-legged critters during “Insect Safari.” The topic of Tuesday, April 15, topic will be “Amphibians and Reptiles,” featuring some live critters.

Wednesday, April 16, will feature “Native American Life,” and the week will round out “Patterns in Nature” on Thursday, April 17.

Class size is limited to ensure a great experience. Cost is $10 per session.

Children ages 6 and up will enjoy looking for creatures and features in The Den during the “I Spy for Kids Walk” on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 9:30 am. Participants will search for birds, bugs and more during this naturalist-led hike. 

Also, those wishing to explore their night vision and nocturnal animals can join a Family Night Hike at The Den on Friday, April 18, from 7:30 to 9 pm. This naturalist-led hike will give participants a chance to discover the trails at night and even make a spark in the dark.

Donations are requested for the “I Spy” and Family Night Hike programs.
