Incident

Police said they attempted to stop Peter Ghent, 38, of 2 Walnut Tree Hill Road to investigate suspicious activity at the parking lot of 100 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook Center on the evening of April 18, but Ghent refused to cooperate and left the area.

Police said they then located Ghent about 20 minutes later and transported him to the police station where they charged him with second-degree reckless endangerment and interfering with police. Police said they released Ghent on a $2,500 bond for a May 6 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Burglary/Larceny

Police report they arrested Clinton McDevitt, 31, of Bridgeport on a warrant on April 21 in Bridgeport in connection with an incident last December 7 on Farmery Lane in Newtown.

Police charged McDevitt with first degree failure to appear in court, third degree burglary, and third degree larceny. Police held McDevitt on a $75,000 bond for an April 22 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Possession

Police said Brian P. Gibbons, 20, of 55 Cedar Hill Road turned himself over to police at about 6 pm April 21 after learning that police held a warrant for his arrest.

Police said they charged Gibbons with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said the charges stem from a January 29 incident when marijuana and paraphernalia were found at Gibbons’ residence during the course of a medical call there. Police released Gibbons on a promise to appear May 1 in Danbury Superior Court.
