Newtown’s Plaza South To Host

Fall Festival October 20

Plaza South in Newtown will host a fall festival on Saturday, October 20, from 3 to 7 pm. Union Savings Bank, 274 South Main Street, will serve as the festival starting point, providing raffle entry cards, free trick-or-treat bags, and the opportunity for a free photo with the harvest display.

Attendees are invited to wear Halloween costumes for a chance to win a prize in the scariest, funniest, or best overall costume category. Activities throughout the day include games, a fire truck and police officer vehicle display, live music with The Fine Print, free food samples, and free candy at each of the plaza shops. The Newtown Animal Shelter will also be at the event with animals available for adoption.

The Little Gym will be collecting both old and new shoes for Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from footwear company warehouses and people’s closets. The charity distributes these shoes to people in need.

The festival ends at Pub 25, where attendees can submit their completed raffle entry cards for a chance to win the grand prize: an Apple iPod Shuffle.
