Relay For Life Is On A Roll

It is not too late to become a member of the 2004 Relay for Life of Newtown planning committee. Several positions were filed at the open house held on Monday, November 17, but more help is needed to organize the June 2004 event that will raise money for the fight against cancer.

Current chairpersons include Barb Baldino, survivorship; Helen Benson, registration; Deb Daniels, publicity; Terri Greenfield, team recruitment; Diane Lavin, corporate sponsorship; Alice Mascher, luminaria; Guy and Lynda Russo, logistics; and the mother-daughter team of Maryann and Brittany Ziman, entertainment.

Additional members are needed for all of the committees.

At the open house several local businesses and clubs including Karen’s Fitness, A New Beginning, Newtown Health & Fitness, Newcomers, and Women Involved in Newtown (WIN), said they are currently forming teams to participate in the event.
