Neurologist To Discuss Diabetic Neuropathy
DANBURY ââ The Diabetes Club of Danbury, a support group for people with diabetes, their families, and friends, announces a monthly guest speakers program at Danbury Hospital. The next meeting of the Diabetes Club of Danbury takes place on Monday, June 16, from 7:30 to 9 pm.
The featured guest speaker is Neil Culligan, MD, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, chief, Section of Neurology and a practicing physician at Neurology Associates of Danbury. Dr Culligan will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic neuropathy.
The Diabetes Club of Danbury meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Monday of each month (with the exception of July, August, and December). Support group meetings takes place in the back of the cafeteria located on the third floor of the South Building, from 7:30 to 9 pm. The goal of the free monthly programs is to provide continuous up-to-date information and education regarding the day-to-day management of diabetes.
 Robert Ruxin, MD, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Internal Medicine, serves as medical director of the Danbury Diabetes Club.
