Putnam Hospital Center Adds Dr Christopher Cuomo To Its Staff
CARMEL, N.Y. â The board of directors of Putnam Hospital Center recently approved the appointment oral and maxillofacial surgeon Christopher Cuomo, DDS, MD, as a new member of the hospitalâs active medical staff.
Dr Cuomo, who lives in Newtown and whose practice is based in Carmel, offers oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a special emphasis on dental implant surgery. He received both his medical and dental surgery degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, at the School of Medicine and School of Dentistry, respectively; his postdoctoral training included an internship in general surgery and a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at University of North Carolina Hospitals, where he served as chief resident.
The recipient of numerous medical awards, Dr Cuomo previously volunteered his services as a surgeon in Quiche, Guatemala, providing cleft lip and cleft palate surgery to local residents.
Dr Cuomo joins approximately 300 physicians, surgeons and allied health professionals who comprise Putnam Hospital Centerâs medical staff.
