Computer Society To Meet July 1
DANBURY ââ At the Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) July 1 general meeting, at Danbury Hospital, Wade Anderson, manager of the information technology department for the City of Danburyâs data processing department, will talk about how technology is used to maintain day-to-day government operations.
 Mr Anderson will elaborate on how the data processing operations have changed over time and the migration from home built programs to packages including hardware platforms and the transition from Unisys to AS400.
Members and interested people attending the meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions. The presentation will be rich with information pertinent to Danbury residents and adjoining towns.
The main presentation will start at 8 pm following a general meeting for the club that will begin at 7 pm. DACS general meetings are open and free to the public. The July 1 meeting will take place in the hospital auditorium. For more information and directions view DACSâ website at www.dacs.org.
