Kindness Is All Around
Kindness Is All Around
To the Editor:
I respectfully request permission to use this space to thank the residents of Newtown and Bethel for their overwhelming support over the past three weeks.
On May 29, I was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Route 302. The outpouring of kindness, food, gifts, cards, telephone calls, and offers to run errands for me and my family from members of these two fine communities has moved me and my family beyond words.
We have only been members of the community since October and have loved the quality of life in this town. The very special people who live here have taught me and my family the true meaning of kindness and we thank all the residents for this very important lesson in humility. We will strive to follow your good example in the future.
For all those who are despondent, afraid or alone, take comfort in the fact you live in the heart of Connecticut and kindness is all around you.
May God Bless all of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.Â
