A Surprise Reception For The Rev Adams-Shepherd
Following the Holy Eucharist service on Wednesday, June 25, the Reverend Kathleen E. Adams-Shepherd was honored with a surprise reception commemorating the 20th anniversary of her ordination as priest.
âPastor Kathieâ serves as Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church Newtown. During the reception that was held in the Trinity undercroft, Beth Hoolehan, warden, presented her with an anniversary gift from the parish. Sharon Martovich, vestry member and Membership Commission chairperson, presented a scrapbook containing photos and articles of events that have taken place during Ms Adams-Shepherdâs tenure.
Since her call to Trinity in January 1996, Ms Adams-Shepherd has worked hard to enable the parish to restore and maintain its spiritual health and outreach. In the year 2000, she was the leading force and influence in the complete physical restoration of the church.
Ms Adams-Shepherdâs husband, âShep,â is a counselor, daughter Sarah will be a sophomore at Curry College in Milton, Mass., and son Myles will enter the sixth grade at Reed Intermediate School in Newtown.
