Frances Danielenko died peacefully on July 21 at Ashlar of Newtown. She was 89 years old and was the wife of the late Frank Danielenko.
Mrs Danielenko was born December 17, 1913, in New York City, daughter of the late Gerardo and Lucia (Dimasi) Marinaro. She received her education in New York and lived in Jackson Heights for 56 years. She later moved to the Commons, Main Street, Danbury, to be near her family.
Mrs Danielenko was employed as an administrative assistant for Playbill Magazine for 15 years. In her early years she was a gifted vocalist and pianist, performing as âEthelâ in the opera The Land of the Bells, at the Majestic Theater in New York, in 1935.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Geraldine Toscano and her husband, Michael; grandchildren Michael J., Jonathan R., and Kristen M. Toscano, all of Danbury; a brother, Gerard Monroy, of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Andrulonis and two sisters, Alma Tate, and Mary Recca.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 24 at St Gregory the Great Church, Danbury, followed by burial in St Charles Cemetery in Long Island, N.Y.
