Junior Women’s Club Kicks Off

Annual Back-To-School Back Pack Program

The Newtown Junior Woman’s Club recently concluded its sixth annual Back-to-School Back Pack Program, providing 118 children in grades K–12 in need of back-to-school supplies the paper, pencils, binders, and other materials they required for the upcoming school year. The brand-name backpacks, valued at around $25, are filled with only top-quality products. This year, the club was able to accommodate 26 more children than last year.

Supplies were afforded through widespread effort throughout the community, including contributions from area businesses and neighbors. The club would like to thank all involved for such a successful drive.
