Nancy Cohen

Nancy Cohen, age 41, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Sandy Hook, and a 1980 graduate of Newtown High School, unexpectedly passed away on July 16 following a brief illness.

Mrs Cohen was the beloved wife of Edward Cohen, and the devoted daughter of Robert and Helen Kayfus of Sandy Hook.

She was a member of St Maurice Catholic Church in Hollywood, Fla., where she was active with the Share-A-Meal program.

Mrs Cohen is survived by her loving siblings, Tom Kayfus of Sandy Hook, Bob Kayfus of Houston, Texas, Gary Kayfus of Coral Springs, Fla., Tim Kayfus of Fort Worth, Texas, Kathy Paccadolmi of Raphine, Va., and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased in 2000 by her sister, Elaine Stewart, of Jupiter, Fla.

A mass of Christian burial was held on July 19 at St Maurice Catholic Church, 2851 Sterling Road, Hollywood, Fla., 33312. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Share-A-Meal, in care of St Maurice Catholic Church.
