Naugatuck Valley Community College Youth Programs Available

WATERBURY — Naugatuck Valley Community College is offering a variety of youth programs this fall including two new classes for teens — photography and guitar — as well as past favorites in babysitting certification, acting, forensic science, astronomy, youth challenge, and SAT and PSAT workshops.

Available courses include: Acting for Young Teens, offered Saturday mornings September 13–October 18; Basic Guitar for Teens, offered Wednesday evenings September 17–November 19; SAT and PSAT workshops, offered Tuesday evenings September 16–October 14; Youth Challenge, offered Tuesday evenings September 16–October 7; Babysitting Certification, offered Saturday mornings through early afternoon, with classes available in September or October; Crime Busters Forensic Science, offered Saturday mornings September 20–October 25 for grades 4–6 and Saturday afternoons September 20–October 25 for grades 7–9; and Family Astronomy for ages 8 and above, offered Friday evenings September 12–October 10.
