Great Community

To the Editor:

On behalf of the members of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. Inc, I would like to thank the following establishments for their support to the fire department. On the second anniversary of September 11, we were remembered as well as those who lost their lives on that tragic day.

First to the Scott Dudas and Sheryl Shivers of The Firehouse Eatery and Tap Room and Mike Kerler of Sandy Hook Wine and Spirits for throwing a great party at the restaurant in honor of all of the local fire, EMS, and police personnel.

Second, we would like to thank Don and the entire staff of Newtown Drug Center for the basket of fruit and other items.

And last, but not least to the students of Mrs Martenson, Mrs DiVanno, and Ms King’s classes of Reed Intermediate School for the great cards, well wishes, and snacks.

Besides these mentioned people, we would like to thank all of the citizens and local businesses for their support to our department not only at these times, but throughout the entire year. We are proud to be part of such a great community.
