Type II Diabetes –– Then & Now

DANBURY –– The Diabetes Club of Danbury, a support group for people with diabetes, their families and friends, will hold a monthly guest speakers program at Danbury Hospital on Monday, October 20, from 7:30 to 9 pm.

The featured guest speaker will be Stanley Saperstein, MD, an attending physician in the Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, section of nephrology/hypertension, and a practicing physician at 38-C Grove Street in Ridgefield. Dr Saperstein will discuss “Type II Diabetes –– Then & Now.”

Support group meetings takes place in the back of the cafeteria located on the third floor of the South Building. The goal of the free monthly programs is to provide continuous up-to-date information and education regarding the day-to-day management of diabetes. Robert Ruxin, MD, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, section of internal medicine, serves as medical director of the Diabetes Club.
