Commission Reappoints Fire Officials

The Board of Fire Commissioners has reappointed Bill Halstead to another one-year term as the town’s fire marshal.

Commission members made the reappointment at their recent annual dinner meeting held at the Firehouse Eatery on Glen Road in Sandy Hook.

Commission members also reappointed to one-year terms as deputy fire marshal George Lockwood, Sr, Henry Stormer, Rich Frampton, Dave Ober, Julio Fernandez, and Scott Lee. David Hardt was reappointed as the special deputy fire marshal for Garner Correctional Institution.

Also, Nancy Kokoski was named a fire inspector. Ms Kokoski also is the fire marshals’ administrative assistant.

At the meeting, commission members reappointed Lisa Goosman to another three-year term as a civilian member of the seven-member Board of Fire Commissioners.

Also, panel members reappointed civilian Kevin Cragin to another one-year term as commission chairman, and reappointed B.J. Halstead of Sandy Hook to another one-year term as vice chairman.

Other commission members are Milt Adams of Newtown Hook and Ladder, Michael Wlasuk of Dodgingtown, Jeffrey Nezvesky of Botsford, and Mike Zilinek of Hawleyville.
