A Debt Of Gratitude

To the Editor:

The town representatives who participated in the negotiations to conclude the purchase of the Fairfield Hills property are to be commended.

Representative Julia Wasserman has been the one constant in the process from day one. She has done a masterful job in getting more land for Newtown besides the main campus. I believe her tenacity and single-minded commitment is responsible for the town getting as much of the available land as it did. Her influence in Hartford is considerable and we are fortunate to have her as our representative in the General Assembly.

The Town of Newtown owes her a debt of gratitude for her devotion and competent service to all of us. Thank you, Representative Wasserman.
