Patsy R. Reda

Patsy R. Reda, 75, of Norwalk, husband of Alice Meade Reda, died April 13 in Norwalk Hospital.

He is survived by a son, Lou B. Reda of Newtown.

Born in Norwalk on January 27, 1926, the son of the late Louis and Marie (Porco) Reda, he was a lifelong Norwalk resident. Until his retirement he was a foreman with the Yankee Metal Company in Norwalk and was a US Navy veteran of World War II.

In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by another son, Patrick R. Reda of Bridgeport; a daughter, Holy Bartlett of Brookfield; two brothers, Ralph Reda of Largo, Fla., and Louis Reda of Norwalk; three sisters, Theresa Kocsis and Mary Catugno of Norwalk, and Esther Fox of Dover Plains, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Reda was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Alice (McCryne) Reda; three brothers, Anthony Reda, Frank “Shag” Reda, and David Reda; and three sisters, Rose Shimko, Joan Reda and Jennie Visconti.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 18 in St Mary Church, West Avenue, Norwalk. Interment was in St John Cemetery, Norwalk.
