Korean War Veteran
Harry Boesch, Jr, 76, husband of Rita (Walsh) Boesch of Cold Spring Road, died at Harborside-Glen Hill in Danbury on October 22. Mr Boesch was cared for by the compassionate staff of the Connecticut Hospice of Branford in the weeks prior to his death.
He is survived by his beloved children, Mell Boesch of Newtown, Christopher Boesch of South Berwick, Maine, Timothy Boesch of Meeker, Colo., and Amy Boesch of Waterbury; his granddaughters, Shawna and Karissa Boesch of Maine; and grandsons, Nate, Seth, and Jake Boesch of Colorado; and his daughter-in-law Margot Robb and step-grandchildren, Cameron and Morgan Robb of Colorado.
Mr Boesch was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on August 23, 1929, the son of Harry and Mildred (Goedecke) Boesch. He worked for IBM for 41 years in New York City, White Plains, Norwalk, and Southbury.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Harry was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 116 in Ridgefield. He previously resided in Ridgefield for 27 years and lived in Newtown for the past 14 years. His favorite pastime was carpentry and he was always involved in home improvement projects in his and his childrenâs homes.
As he wished, cremation services will be held in private.
