New Discussion Series Will Open With Tan Title
BETHEL â On Tuesday, January 13, from 7 to 8:30 pm, Bethel Public Libraryâs monthly book discussion group will discuss Amy Tanâs The Kitchen Godâs Wife, in which a mother reveals the details of her early life in war-torn China to her American-born daughter.
The Kitchen Godâs Wife is the first title in a new series of book discussions about contemporary stories of immigration and assimilation.
The program will take place in the alcove of the libraryâs temporary location at 137 Greenwood Avenue, with refreshments provided by Friends of the Bethel Public Library.
All programs sponsored by the Bethel Public Library are free, open to the public, and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations should contact the library as soon as possible at 794-8756.
