Allison Sigler of Newtown, a senior at Northeastern University in Massachusetts, for the fourth straight year was a recipient of the Bob Warnicke Scholarship from the National Bike League.
Allison Sigler of Newtown, a senior at Northeastern University in Massachusetts, for the fourth straight year was a recipient of the Bob Warnicke Scholarship from the National Bike League.
Sigler has been racing BMX for 14 years now, ever since she began at the age of nine. She was ranked No. 4 nationally in 1995, was a Connecticut state champion, and a winner of the Caruso Award for most improved female racer.
Sigler is serving an internship at Joshua Diabetes Clinic (she has also interned at the Beth Israel Medical Center and the St Jude Childrenâs esearch Hospital) and is working as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor.
Now she races in the Super Girls class at MRL events all over the East Coast. She is ranked No. 23 nationally in that class and just recently competed in the National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, over the Labor Day weekend.
