Danbury Continuing Ed Courses

DANBURY — The Department of Continuing Education still has space for several financial classes: “Women and Money — Take Charge,” “Financial Survival: Sleep in Peace and Avoid the Most Common Financial Mistakes,” and “Invest On Your Debt.”

There are also summer tours still available:

Gillette’s Castle Griswold Inn and River Quest: Cruise Gillette’s Castle in East Haddam has undergone extensive renovation and is now reopened in the spirit of its original 1919 magnificence. Following a guided walking tour of the property, participants will lunch at the historic Griswold Inn followed by an hour and a half cruise along Essex Harbor and the Connecticut River. Saturday, July 10, departs from Danbury High School at 8:15 am. Return is approximately 6 pm. Fee is $79.

Pride of the Hudson is one of the most renowned sailing ships on the Hudson. The two-hour narrated cruise departs from Newburgh Landing, N.Y. Participants will also enjoy lunch at Torches restaurant. Saturday, June 12, departs from Danbury High School at 9 am. Return is approximately 6 pm. Fee is $81.
