NSB Names Two New Vice Presidents

John J. Martocci, chairman and chief executive officer of Newtown Savings Bank, announced that Thomas Lutz and David McNamara have joined the bank as vice presidents.

Mr Lutz joined NSB as part of the bank’s purchase of Sirianni Mortgage Corporation in March. Mr Lutz was the president of Sirianni Mortgage, where he was responsible for the overall management of the company. As a result of his joining NSB, the bank will now be able to offer products such as no-income verification mortgages, interest-first mortgages, subprime mortgages, and competitive jumbo pricing.

Mr Lutz studied business/ law at the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife live in Newtown.

David McNamara joined the bank on March 22 as vice president/compliance. He will assist executive management in formalizing and monitoring the overall risk management policy, chair the compliance committee, and assume the responsibilities of the internal audit liaison.

Mr McNamara received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and was admitted to the Connecticut bar in August 1999. His undergraduate degree was at Vassar College, where he received a BA in economics.

Mr McNamara most recently worked for Integrated Compliance Solutions as a compliance manager and spent six years working for RSM McGladrey in New Haven as a compliance supervisor.

He and his wife are residents of Waterbury.
