Newtown 14, Danbury 8 â Ryan Manning and Coner Martin scored three goals each to lead Newtown past Danbury. Brett Mauro and Seth Anderson added two goals each while Colin Babbage, CJ Donahue, Dan Lawrence and Harrison Gillis each added a goal. Babbage added three assists, Mauro added two more and Brian Kirk was once again a pinpoint feeder with two assists.
Newtown 9, Pomperaug 5 â Ryan Manning scored five goals and assisted on two others to lead Newtown past Pomperaug. Brett Mauro and Colin Babbage each added two goals, while CJ Donahue, Babbage and Brian Kirk each added an assist. Tedd Schaniel was the stopper and was credited with 10 saves.
Newtown 4, Weston 3 â Ryan Manning, Seth Anderson, Brett Mauro and Brian Kirk all scored to lead Newtown past Weston. Kris Kling, Coner Martin and Dylan Kelleher played well on defense.

Fairfield/Wakeman 12, Newtown 5 â Tim Wheeler scored a pair of goals while Will Mahony, Ned Emerson and Zach Varga scored one apiece as Newtown fell to Fairfield. Emerson and Paul Tropsa had assists. Joe Banno made seven saves for the locals.
Newtown 13, Eli 2 â Tim Wheeler scored five goals while Will Mahony and Ned Emerson scored two apiece to lead Newtown to the easy win. Paul Tropsa, Jacob Dauz, Max Beitel and Ryan Golankiewicz also scored. Emerson had a pair of assists as did Brendan Martin.
Newtown 14, New Milford 3 â Tim Wheeler and Blake Bell scored three goals apiece to power Newtown past New Milford. Brendan Martin chipped in with a pair of goals while Jason Smith had a goal and two assists. Ned Emerson, Erik Dreher, Derek Flynn and Max Beitel also scored. Ryan Golankiewicz, Mario Roehrs and John Grimaldi combined on 15 ground balls.

Newtown 16, New Milford 5 â Lisa Isabella made nine saves in goal and Courtney Gleason had four goals and two assists to lead the Senior Blue over New Milford. Lauren Clark added three goals while Stephanie Soder chipped in with two goals and an assist. Hannah Tenenbaum and Betsy Vendel scored two goals apiece and Carolyn Gingras added a goal and two assists. Libby Feltch (a goal and an assist), Jackie Isabella (a goal), and Molly Murtha and Lauren Sudbey (assists) all contributed.
Newtown 14, Ridgefield 4 â Lauren Clark had five goals and an assist and Courtney Gleason added four goals to lead Newtown over Ridgefield. Cathy Urfer scored twice, Libby Feltch and Hannah Tenenbaum had a goal and two assists each and Betsy Vendel scored. The defense of Jen OâConnell, Hanah Glasrud, Bethany Morin, and Molly Murtha played outstanding.

Newtown 11, Middlebury 7 â Becky Trosan had three goals and an assist and Sarah Cioffoletti scored twice and dished off two assists to lead the Senior Gold over Middlebury. Renee Solheim and Marnie Thompson scored twice, Meagan Kelly had a goal and three assists, Jenna Ruddock added a goal and Stephanie Paproski and Devon Ferris had assists. Rachel Nemeth and Jenna Ruddock combined to make five saves in goal.

Newtown 8, Brookfield 6 â Max Paynter scored three goals and Ben Mahony dished out four assists to lead Newtown past previously unbeaten Brookfield. Jamie Bowers, Ben Mahony, Tim Dalton, Tyler Davenport and Lewis Thompson all scored as well. Andrew Hyland and Mike Hadgraft were strong in the cage while Max Nacewicz, Connor McNamara and Andrew Golankiewicz anchored the defense.

Newtown 5, Eli 4 (OT) â John Johnson scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime, to lead Newtown past Eli. Cameron Gehrman chipped in with two goals and an assist as Michael Ownes had a goal and an assist and Tom Diluoffo dished off an assist to round out the scoring. Michael Gould, Conor Halloran, Liam Ferguson, and Billy Thursland were outstanding on close defense. Willie Provey and Colby Gleacher kept the game close, making seven saves in goal.

The Junior Girls won all three this week at the Long Meadow, Massachusettes Jamboree, improving to 10-0 on the year. The locals defeated Nashua (8-1), Glastonbury (3-1) and East Long Meadow (10-2). All of the girls who participated played extremely well. Newcomer Caitlyn Brophy and Kara Brown dominated the attack while an all around effort on defense and midfield anchored the wins

Sea Gulls 6, Falcons 5 â Michael Lord scored four goals and Andrew Cebry added two in the win over the Falcons. Luke Sherwood, Jack Wilson, and Greg Frattaroli had single goals and Frattaroli and Cebry combined on four saves in the goal. James Marusi had four goals for the Falcons with Stefan Hennessey scoring once. Hennessey also had nine saves in the goal in the first half with Brian Kruger stopping four in the second. Jack Curry, Nick Fatse, and Alec Beauchemin combined to grab 12 ground balls.
Blue Devils 13, Lightning 6 â Justin Brophy and Daniel Hebert scored four goals apiece and Roland Stephen added three to lead the Blue Devils over the Lightning. Kyle Hagerman and Justin Spath added single Goals and Ted Benoit and Spath combined on six saves in the cage. Conor Quinn scored three goals to lead the Lightning Brandan McNamara had two, Ryan Crowell added another, and Paolo Moscovici had an assist.
Green Machine 6, Eagles 5 â Stefan Dullinger scored a pair of goals and the Green Machine got single goals from Griffin Paynter, Matt Vavrek, Christian Mather and Tom Bauer in the win over the Eagles. Corey Fisher made six saves in the goal. Chris Arnone, Noah Sock, Christian Sayegh, Parker Rodbell, and Mike Fitzsimons all scored for the Eagles. Patrick Milano and Chris Arnone were strong in the cage, combining to stop seven shots.
