Girls
Average Joeâs 15, Clementines 13 â Emily Nezvesky canned seven points and Emily Fields added four as the Joeâs captured the win. Stacy Shpunt, Jill Tevnan and Melissa Mason played well. For the Clementines, Casey Frobey popped in 10 points as Jen Brill, Caitlin Hansen and Kristen Salbu had solid games.
Midnight Riders 42, Team Poeltl 21 â Megan LaFlamme and Courtney Brunton scored 18 points apiece to lead the Riders to the win. Monica Strzlecki grabbed eight rebounds, Rachel Marlin made two steals, and Rachel Maley had a strong floor game. For Poeltl, Tara Gaston had eight points while Jessica Budnick (four assists), Lindsay Chimileski (five steals) and Chynna Smith (four rebounds) played well.
Devil Dogs 39, Purple Pirates 32 â Kate Dougherty scored eight points to lead the Devil Dogs to the win. Rose Jackman, Christina Wolf, Jen OâConnell and Mary Ober all played well. For the Pirates, Jessica Palermo canned 12 points as Sarah Holroyd, Jackie Ercole and Kaity DiVanno had solid floor games.

Boys 8th
Newtown 58, Trumbull 28 â Kurt Nacewicz and David Bray canned 12 points apiece to lead Newtown. Connor Collier and Ian Cooper had seven points each with Ricky Gallucci and Mark Scheunemann combining for 11 more. Outstanding defense was led by Chris Marks and John Grimaldi.
Newtown 58, Greenwich 23 â Ricky Gallucci and David Bray scored 11 points each as Newtown overcame Greenwich. John Grimaldi followed with 11 points and Connor Collier chipped in with eight points. Newtown played great defense throughout the game and leading the defense at the end of the game was Chris Marks
New Canaan 46, Newtown 33 â John Grimaldi scored 11 points, but Newtown fell to New Canaan. Cole Depuy chipped in six points. Turnovers were a problem for the locals, who had the lead but were unable to hold on to it.
Newtown 50, Weston 32 â Connor Collier scored 12 points and Ricky Gallucci added eight to lead Newtown to the win. Newtown played excellent defense by shutting down height and making nice defensive steals by Chris Marks and Mark Scheunemann.
Darien 47, Newtown 40 â Kurt Nacewicz and John Grimaldi scored nine points apiece in a loss to Darien. Ricky Gallucci and Connor Collier had eight apiece.
Girls 6th
Westport 25, Newtown 23 â Kristen Errico scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but Newtown fell to Westport. Colleen Cunningham added six points and 10 rebounds as Cady Jackman and Maggie Donohue combined for four points and 12 rebounds. Jen Smith and Casey Kearns played great defense. An exciting steal and a near buzzerbeater by Maggie Donohue sent the game into overtime.

Junior Boys
Yellowjackets 34, Celtics 29 â Sotia Ahtch popped in 10 points and Joe Fedak added eight to lead the Yellowjackets to the win. Mike Piesetti, Brandon Bennett and Ed White played well. For the Celtics, Joe Selezan had 11 points and Ben Mahony had six. Kevin McCarthy and Trevor Todd had strong floor games.
Rockets 48, Knicks 44 â Peter Wlasuk and Brendan Blawie combined for 23 points as the Rockets escaped with the win. Dan Spencer, David Kopyscinski and Ben Miles all played well. For the Knicks, Mike Rodriguez canned 12 points while Kyle Droniak had seven assists and Kenton Lord made three steals.
Huskies 48, Lakers 33 â Joe Cappiello poured in 16 points and Adam Buccino had 10 more to lead the Huskies to the win. AJ Ritchie and Ryan Daly (seven rebounds) had strong performances. For the Lakers, Tyler Edwards popped in nine points while Nick Tarantino made eight steals and RJ Swift dragged down eight rebounds.
Heat 51, Hornets 41 â John Fracker scored 14 points and Chris Winter grabbed six rebounds to lead the Heat past the Hornets. Hiram Orama had five assists and Eric Thornberg sparked the defense. For the Hornets, Harrison Gillis had 12 points and Ben Kaye had 13 rebounds to lead the way. Chris Page dished off eight assists.

Intermediate Girls
Nighthawks 28, Shamrocks 23 â Kelly Gaston and Shannon Paproski popped in eight points apiece to lift the Nighthawks to the win. Jill Jagoe dished off three assists while Katie Fossum had five steals. Gaston also dragged down 11 rebounds. For the Shamrocks, Alyssa Ruddy (five assists), Jamie Keating (eight rebounds), Audra Serna (five steals) and Julie Ficks played well.
Da Bulls 30, Huskies 19 â Jenna Bonacorso scored 12 points and Lauren Meyer added eight as Da Bulls captured the win. Jessica Haitz and Christine Arnolds played well. For the Huskies, Christie Iorfino had six points and Katie Lago had seven rebounds to lead the way. Bethany Bauch (four assists) and Alexis Black (five steals) had fine floor games.
Rim Rockers 26, Liberty 14 â Ali Pliszka canned 18 points as the Rim Rockers rolled. Alex Cernick had six steals while Amanda Swift and Morgan Hopper played well. For the Liberty, Megan Loose popped in six points as Laurli Melita, Erin Bell and Megan Gibbons (seven rebounds) played well.
Intermediate Boys
Bullets 37, Vikings 22 â Sam Kerr canned 17 points and Jon Hull dished off six assists to lead the Bullets to the win. Patrick Zingaro and Justin Spath had fine floor games. For the Vikings, Alex Saviano scored six points, James Rebman grabbed five rebounds, and Tom Murphy dished off four assists.
Knicks 43, Eagles 22 â Dan White popped in 11 points to lead the Knicks past the Eagles. John Johnson, Jimmy Russo and Tom Anderau played well. For the Eagles, Joey Maggio scored 10 points while Matt Madden and Oliver Powers had strong games.
Wildcats 25, Hawkeyes 22 â Kevin Dennis scored four points and Chris Haylon grabbed four rebounds to lead the âCats to the win. Brandon Body (five assists) and Kevin Dill played well. For the Hawkeyes, Sean Devaney canned eight points, Matt Vavrek pulled down seven rebounds, and Tom Stewart made four steals.
Vipers 35, Eagles 18 â Ryan Powers canned 14 points as Eric McCabe and Greg Frattaroli played well to lead the Vipers past the Eagles. For the Eagles, Oliver Powers scored eight points while Ben Stoller and Mike Zaccaro played well.
Vipers 34, Trailblazers 24 â Ryan Powers, Greg Frattaroli, Jeff Grasso and Scott Runkle had strong floor games and led the Vipers to the win. For the âBlazers, Brian Reed popped in eight points and Mike LoBosco swiped 10 balls.
Celtics 45, Huskies 30 â Ryan Korth poured in 26 points to power the Celtics. Mike Lengel, Drew Seymour and Caleb Benore all played well. For the Huskies, Tom Coscia popped in nine points as Chad Magoulas, Kyle Wilcox and Tyler Covert had strong performances.
Mavericks 30, Regulators 20 â Tom Capozziello, Sean Burson, Yanni Koutmos and Peter Kerns lifted the Mavs to the win while Griffin Paynter (12 points), Don Gies (four assists), Mike Ruddy (seven steals) and Nick Dinelli (eight rebounds) played well for the Regulators.
Midget Boys
Raptors versus Challengers â Jonah Munoz, Daniel Cummings, Alex LaCroce, Harrison Buzzi and KC Condon played well for the Raptors while Matt Wood, Harrison Snellback, Thomas Bauer, Ryan Seymour and Richard Huffman powered the Challengers.
Celtics versus Tigers â Michael Senf, Cameron McCleary, Josh Villa and Michael Davis led the Celtics while Andrew Tarantino, Sam Ashey, Jacob Feinstein and Justin Cherry anchored the Tigers.
Huskies versus Orange Crush â Matt Hoyt, Dave Cartisano, Brock Chimileski and Kaleb Rowe powered the Huskies as Chris George, Matt Lindell, Michael Gallatin and Justin Germain had strong games for the Crush.
Nighthawks versus Pistons â Connor Quinn, Miles LoBuglio, Kevin Shpunt and Collin Moller played well for the âHawks as Reid Schmidt, Connor Gallagher and Steve Anderau played well for the Pistons.
Blue Devils versus Squarepants â Nehar Patel, Sean Elliott, Jordan Sock and Matt White played well for the Devils.
Midget Girls
Purple Panthers versus Fireballs â Jessica Gibbons, Kerry Scallon, Ryanne Duffy and Ryan Cassin led the Panthers as Emily Peters, Sara Hasselburger, Rachel Zambornardi and Melanie Rotante played well for the Fireballs.
Yellowjackets versus Devils â Olivia Phenix, Maddie Good and Jenny Indelicato played well for the âJackets as Caitlin Yakush, Jane Sclafani, Rachel Karnoff and Meaghan Harkins led the Devils.
Golden Bears versus Huskies â Julie LaPerch, Emily Clark and Katherine Clark led the Golden Bears while Kelly OâSullivan, Mariah Joy, Stephanie Zamary and Kathryn DâAlessandro powered the Huskies.
Wolverines versus Funky Monkeys â Kelsey Packer, Courtney Escoda, Courtney Tenney and Emily Davis had strong floor games for the Wolverines while Brittany Emslie, Georgia Contois, Tressa Scott and Emily Cannavo played well for the Monkeys.
Ballhogs versus Fighting Irish â Tess Murray, Lindsay Jagoe and Julia LeBlanc led the âHogs as Rachel DiVanno, Karlie Kuligowski, Taylor Brady and Meghan Logan led the Irish.
