DARIEN – The annual Ox Ridge Dressage Horse Show in Darien is seeking volunteers for Friday, August 198, through Sunday, August 22.

Volunteers would assist with parking, directing cars and horse vans into parking areas and check passes. No “horse experience” is necessary.

The event will take place rain or shine. For volunteering, you get to see the show, before/after your shift. Parking proceeds benefit High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, an organization that brings the therapeutic benefits of horseback riding and other horse related activities to the physically, mentally or emotionally challenged in Connecticut.

The current needs are –

Thursday, August 19: Three people for Parking/Tent set up from 3 to 6 pm.

Friday, August 20: Eleven people from 5 to 9:30 am, four people from 9:30 am to 2 pm, and four people from 2 to 6:30 pm.

Saturday, August 21: Eleven people from 4:30 to 9:30 am, four people from 9:30 am to 2 pm, and four people from 2 to 6:30 pm.

Sunday, August 22: Thirteen people from 5 to 9:30 am, four people from 9:30 am to 2 pm, and 17 people from 2 to 6:30 pm.

Contact Gary Borla at 1-860-665-6729 (or email borlagf@nu.com) to volunteer.
