Theresa Marie Waterman

Theresa Marie (Baldasare) Waterman, formerly of James Street, Danbury, wife of the late George L. Waterman, died on July 26 at Harborside Glen Hill. She was the sister of Genevieve “Dolly” Talarico of Newtown.

Mrs Waterman was born in Danbury on September 4, 1908, daughter of the late Pasquale and Carmela (Mazza) Baldasare.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Geraldine Strusky and her husband Stanley, Jeanette DeFazio and her husband Benny, all of Danbury, and Patricia Cerno and her husband Emil of Bridgewater; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter as well as by her brother, Michael Baldasare and his wife Anita of Danbury, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, George P. Waterman.

Mrs Waterman was a lifetime member of the Danbury community and was a parishioner of St Joseph Church. She was a seamstress for Bernice Frocks and later worked as a group leader for Capital Machine. She was active in both the St Gregory and St Anthony senior citizen groups.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 30, at 10 am, at St Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, July 29, from 5 to 7 pm.
