Hi. My name is Caitlin Walsh and I have just interviewed my new aide here at Head O’ Meadow School. Her name is Janet Graves.

The first question I asked her was what is your favorite thing about this job? She replied that she really likes just being in the classroom with the kids and interacting with them.

The second question I asked her was what made you become a teacher/aide? She answered, she wanted to have the same schedule as all of her kids and she wanted to be able to see her youngest child during school hours.

The third question I asked her was what was the most challenging thing about your job? She said, trying to learn all of her students’ first and last names.

The fourth question I asked her was what do you think is special about the Newtown school system? She replied the teachers and staff are very dedicated to the welfare and education of the children.

The last question I asked her was what new ideas would you like to bring to HOM? She answered I would like to see more space in desks for kids to put their books. In our class there are binders all over the floor so there is no room for the kids’ feet.
