Occupation: I am manager for client-experienced operations at the Newtown branch of JPMorgan Chase Bank at 30 Church Hill Road. Prior to this I was with CityTrust. Including both jobs, I have been in banking for 31 years, and have worked the last five years in Newtown, including the time when our bank was located on Commerce Road.

I grew up in Waterbury and still live there. I received my bachelor of science degree in business from Teikyo Post College in Waterbury.

What’s Happening In Newtown These Days: I see a lot of new people moving into the area and coming into the bank. They come from all over, but you would be surprised how many are from Manhattan and are commuting to the city.

Family: My husband, Salvatore, works for the City of Waterbury. He’s an accountant with the tax assessor’s office.

Hobbies: I love gardening, especially growing vegetables. We like to travel and we like to cook ––Italian, of course. I make homemade pasta and I’m into canning. I make tomato sauce, pickled relishes, and jellies. Canning is hot work so I try to do it at night. I’m also into home decorating, and Salvatore helps. Luckily, he’s very handy with tools.

Favorite TV Show: I like HGTV, and I enjoy watching shows about remodeling. We like Molto Mario, the Italian cook on The Food Channel. He’s very authentic.

Most Vivid Memory About Newtown: I enjoyed the Halloween Parade up Main Street last year, and I love the luminarias at Christmas time. Newtown’s Main Street has such a nice neighborly feeling.

Favorite Vacation Spot: We go to Hawaii and Italy, and to Cape Cod off season especially Dennis Port.

Personal Philosophy: Take one day at a time.
