Murphy Honored For Nursing

WATERBURY — Newtown resident Mary Murphy, a registered nurse, was among 21 Greater Waterbury area nurses and nursing students at the Greater Waterbury Nursing Consortium. A nursing student at Western Connecticut State University at Waterbury, Ms Murphy was presented with the Dorothea Dix Award in recognition of her nurse-patient relationship skills.

The award ceremony was a highlight of “Nurses Lead the Way,” a celebration of the nursing profession hosted by the Consortium at Naugatuck Valley Community College.
