GOP Plans ‘Shotgun Start’ Golf Outing

The Newtown Republican Town Committee invites the public to participate in a “Shotgun Start” golf outing on Tuesday, September 7, at 8 am. at Fairview Farm Golf Course, 300 Hill Road, Harwinton. “Shotgun Start” will be at 9 am. A $100 donation covers greens fees and cart; hamburger and hot dog buffet; and prizes.

Prizes will be awarded for Closest to the Pin (7th hole); Longest Drive (15th hole); Lowest Team Net Score; and Best Ball Scramble.

Proceeds from the event will benefit local candidates State Sen John McKinney, State Rep Julia Wasserman (106th District), and State Rep DebraLee Hovey (112th District). “The event will be fun for golfers of all ages and abilities and a great opportunity to learn more about Republican ideas and principles,” said Carolyn Signorelli, Republican Town Committee secretary.
