Career And Personal Enrichment Courses

WATERBURY — Interested in enhancing career skills or developing a new hobby? Naugatuck Valley Community College is offering dozens of courses this fall in a variety of subject areas.

 Classes are available at the main campus on Chase Parkway in Waterbury, located off Exit 18 of Interstate 84, as well as at the Danbury Training Center on Crosby Street, and at the Ongoing Workplace Learning Center in Watertown’s Depot Square Mall on Depot Road.

 New courses are being offered this semester in human resources and insurance careers. Courses are also available in art; boating safety; business and industry training; child development; computer technology, including web development, A+ and Network+ certification, home computing, and digital publishing; conversational Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese, and English as a second language; dance; gardening and landscaping; fitness; health care careers; motorcycle riding safety; music; photography; real estate; and youth programs.

 Many online courses are also available this fall in grant writing, real estate, career planning, medical office training, and computer technology, including Telephony, PageMaker, PowerPoint XP, Photoshop, Illustrator, Paint Shop Pro, FrontPage, Fireworks, Access XP, Outlook; Excel XP, and QuickBooks.
