Chess For Children

BETHEL — The children’s department of Bethel Public Library will have a Beginner Chess Class for children in grades kindergarten though seventh grade on Monday, November 1, and Monday, November 15, in the library alcove from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

It is a two-session class. The first session will cover the basic rules and moves of the game along with some general strategies. During the second session, there will be supervised practice with a partner.
