Grace D. Caragliano

Grace Digiovanni Caragliano, 90, wife of the late Charles Caragliano of St George Place, Sandy Hook, died January 19 in Danbury Hospital.

She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on January 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Gaetano and Ernestine (Mineado) Digiovanni. Mrs Caragliano was a seamstress and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union until her retirement.

Mrs Caragliano was a longtime resident of the Bronx until moving to Newtown 11 years ago and along with her late husband, was one of the first residents of Walnut Tree Village. She was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and a member of the Newtown Senior Center.

Mrs Caragliano is survived by her two daughters, Carol Decina and her husband Pat of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and Lorraine Fuchs and her husband Robert of Middlebury; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 25 from the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery.
