Beatrice D.   Pitcher

Beatrice D. Pitcher, 83, wife of Robert L. Pitcher of Park Lane, died January 19 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Pitcher was born in Branford, on June 5, 1921, the youngest of eight children of the late Edward and Lena (Brazee) Conger. She attended Salisbury, Conn., schools.

Mrs Pitcher was a longtime resident of Newtown and loved to sew and collect dolls. She was an accomplished cook.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, Mrs Pitcher is survived by her daughter, Gail Ugolik and her husband Stephen of Venice Fla.; and one granddaughter, Dr Lori Ugolik of Macon, Ga.

Funeral services were held January 24 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown.

Cremation will be private.
