Easton Antiques Show Has An Above-The-Crowds Attraction

EASTON — An outdoor antiques show with more than 50 dealers from throughout New England, a professional appraiser and hot-air balloon rides will take place on Sunday, October 7, at the 34th annual Fall Antiques Show sponsored by Easton Lions Club.

In a local variation of the popular TV show Antiques Roadshow, attendees will be able to bring hidden household treasures for examination by a team of certified appraisers, including Christina Pereiro. The $5 appraisal fee will be a direct benefit to the organizations supported by Easton Lions Club.

The show will also feature free hot air balloon rides, sponsored by Re/Max Results Realty. The rides will allow attendees to view early autumn foliage from new heights.

This event, sponsored by Easton Lions Club, will be held from 10 am to 4 pm at Helen Keller Middle School on Sport Hill Road (Route 59) in Easton. The balloon rides will run from 10 am to noon.

Regular adult admission is $3, with early buying available between 9 and 10 am for $10. Children age 12 and under, accompanied by adults, are admitted free. Refreshments and free parking will be available. For more information, call 203-874-7738 or email the Lions Club at EastonAntiques@aol.com.

“This antique show continues to offer antiques buffs a wide selection of New England artifacts,” says club president John Campbell. “The balloon rides have been very popular. Riders should plan to arrive early. We are very pleased that Re/Max Heritage Realty again is sponsoring this attraction.”

Prospective dealers may contact show chairman Steve Glaser at 203-374-2324 for more information.

Proceeds from the antiques show will benefit a variety of local, state, and international charities dedicated to community services, medical research, and other causes. In the past 34 years, Easton Lions Club, a non-profit organization, has donated more than $145,000 to worthy organizations.
