Wilbert Peter Chamberlain

Wilbert “Will” Peter Chamberlain, 86, of Monroe, beloved husband of Virginia (Donaldson) Chamberlain, died on January 26 after a long illness. Mr Chamberlain was the brother of Robert Chamberlain and his wife, Barbara, of Newtown.

Mr Chamberlain was born on December 21, 1918, in Ohio, a son of the late Glenn and Louise (Hiler) Chamberlain. He lived most of his life in Connecticut, where he made his home and raised his family.

Will was the co-owner of Chamberlain Construction Company, which contributed to the development of many Easton residences. He was also quite a motorcycle enthusiast, sharing his love of motorcycles with family and friends.

Besides his brother, he leaves his devoted wife of 64 years, Virginia Chamberlain of Monroe; four devoted daughters, Gail Haas and her husband, Bruce, of Shelton, Laurel Brown of Bluffton, S.C., Tina Walsh and her husband, Bill, of Stratford, and Lynn Agvent and her husband, Frank, of Milford; a sister, Helen Young and her husband, John, of Texas. Mr Chamberlain is also survived by 11 loving grandchildren; ten beautiful great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr Chamberlain was predeceased by his only son, William Chamberlain.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on January 31 in St Stephen Church in Trumbull. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton.
