Marie A.      Grahn
Marie A. Grahn, 68, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, Fla., died after a short illness on January 28 at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Hank, of Spring Hill, as well as daughters Donna OâConnor of Newtown, Brenda and husband, Jeff Wurtz, of Sandy Hook, and Sharon and husband, Ryan Jessop, of Roswell, Ga. A son Jeffrey Grahn of Irvington, N.Y, also survives her.
Mrs Grahn was born in Patchogue, N.Y., and moved to Spring Hill six years ago from Miller Place, Long Island, N.Y. She was Catholic by faith and attended St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
She retired as a senior administrative secretary in the physics department of Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, Long Island, after 21 years of service. A past officer of Timber Pines Global Travel Club, she also volunteered for six years at Oak Hill Hospital.
Mrs Grahn enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warm, kind, and generous nature. No one was a stranger to her.
Other survivors include a brother Anthony DeLeva of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and ten grandchildren, Colin, Kyle and Kelly OâConnor, Shane, Riley and Chase Wurtz, Campbell, Caden and Corey Jessop, and Kayla Grahn.
Friends were received on January 31 at the Seven Hills Chapel of Brewer and Sons Funeral Homes. A mass was celebrated at St Frances Cabrini Church on February 1.
