Equine Anatomy & Physiology Class At Post

Post University has announced its upcoming unit covering Equine Anatomy & Physiology, will run Monday evenings, October 22 through December 10, from 6:30-9:30 pm on the University’s Waterbury Campus (located near exit 17 off I-84).

Classes meet in MacDermid Hall, Room 212. The cost for each course, when taken for personal enrichment and a Post University Certificate, is $375. To earn CEU credits, the cost is $525 per course. Equine Anatomy & Physiology is the current offering in the Equine Husbandry Evening Course Series. From backyard horse owners to industry professionals, these courses offer an easy to follow format for learning. The course will cover not only conformation and its effects on the horse’s performance but also the anatomical systems, including muscle groups and bone structure. Students will delve into the hands-on learning of the course with life sized and anatomically-correct equine models and references.

The course instructor is Jamison Wallace, who has decades of experience in the equine industry and is a popular riding instructor and 4-H leader in the area.

The Equine Husbandry Course Series may be taken in any order. No pre-requisites are required.
