Betty B. Bartel

Betty B. Bartel, 77, of Bridle Path Trail died February 18 in Danbury Hospital. Mrs Bartel was the wife of the late Richard Bartel.

She was born in Bedford, Ind., on July 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Carl and Madge (Kimbrell) Montgomery. Betty attended Western College in Miami, Ohio. A longtime resident of Lakespur, Calif., Mrs Bartel lived in Newtown for the past year.

Survivors include a son, Gary R. Bartel, and his wife, Jan, of Newtown; a daughter, Cathy Edgett, and her husband, Steve, of Mill Valley, Calif.; one granddaughter, Katie Bartel, and two grandsons, Jeff and Chris Edgett.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
