Genealogy Workshops

FAIRFIELD — For anyone who has ever wanted to research their family history but didn’t know where to start, Fairfield Historical Society is sponsoring a series of six workshop on consecutive Saturdays on beginning genealogy.

The series begins on April 2 and will be led by retired school teacher and Fairfield Historical Society volunteer Bill Stansfield, who will provide the basic information needed to get started charting your family tree. Sessions will run from 10 am to noon each weekend.

The cost for each session is $20, or $80 for the full course.

The workshops will be held at Fairfield Historical Society, 636 Old Post Road. Reservations and prepayment are required. For information and to reserve a space, call 203-259-1598.
