CT Choral Society Planning 25th Anniversary Concert
DANBURY â The Connecticut Choral Society  (CCS) will present âFrench Impressions,â its 25th anniversary concert, on Friday, April 29, at 8 pm, at Saint Peter Church, 104 Main Street in Danbury.
A pre-concert talk will be given at 7:30.
The 60 voice chorus of auditioned amateur and professional voices comes from over 20 towns in the region and is considered one of the premier choruses performing locally.
Durufleâs Requiem, Poulencâs Organ Concerto and Poulencâs Litanies a la Vierge Noir, two deeply moving choral works and a brilliant organ concerto, will show to perfection in the reverberant acoustics of this lovely church.
John Robert Liepold, music director and conductor of CCS, will direct the chorus and orchestra. The organ soloist will be Aleeza Meir, who has performed as an acclaimed organist and pianist internationally, most recently at Carnegie Hall where she played the Durufle Organ Concerto.
