âShadow Boxâ To Open At Ridgefield Theater Barn
RIDGEFIELD â The Ridgefield Theater Barn will present its third mainstage production of the 2005 season, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning The Shadow Box, opening on September 9.
Directed by Marc Cameron of Woodbury, the cast includes Cheryl Boyd (who is also producer), Dennis McGrath, Max Singer and Stacey Messler of Ridgefield; John Pyron of Fairfield; MJ Hartell of Brookfield; Ryan Katzer of Beacon, N.Y.; Michael Pizzi of Bronxville, N.Y.; Elise Godfrey of Peekskill, N.Y.; and Laurie Brearley of Danbury.
The play is a poetic and surprisingly funny meditation on life, love, hope, and the ultimate journey. The action takes place during the course of one spring day as three dramatically different terminally ill patients and their loved ones gather at cottages on the grounds of a hospice.
Performances are September 9 through October 8, Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm, with a Sunday matinée on September 25 at 2 pm. Seating is cabaret-style and the audience is invited to bring food and beverage; visit www.TheaterBarn.org for a list of local restaurants providing picnic dinners. Doors open one hour before performance.
Tickets are $18 for adults, and $15 for seniors and students.
The Ridgefield Theater Barn is at 37 Halpin Lane in Ridgefield. For reservations and more information, call 203-431-9850 or visit the theaterâs website.
